| A 32 year old man from Arganda lost his right arm last Saturday evening when he stuck his right arm through the bars of a tigress at the Nevada Circus, which is set up near the town's train station.
The incident occurred shortly after 8pm, when, for reasons as yet unknown, the man, who was accompanied by his wife, stuck his right arm into the cage, where it was bitten off below the elbow and eaten by the tigress.
After having a tourniquet applied by one of the animal's keepers, the man was rushed to Madrid's Gregorio Marañón Hospital, where his condition is described as "serious," but not life-threatening.
In April 2003, a tiger from the International Circus bit off and ate the arm of a 28 year old Ukranian man, who got too near his cage, in the town of Colmenar Viejo (Madrid). |
