| A Mirage F-1 jet from the Los Llanos Spanish Air Force base has crashed near the town of La Roda, although the pilot managed to eject to safety and has been taken to Albacete General Hospital with minor injuries.
According to a Albacete provincial council and La Roda Local Police sources, the plane went down shortly after 10am this morning on farm land adjacent to the A-31 Alicante-Atalaya del Caņavete freeway (km 32).
The pilot, who was flying in formation with two other jets, is reported to have sustained various fractures after punching out at very low altitude. |
