| The number of people affected by an outbreak of Legionnaire's Disease in Pamplona has risen to 132 after the emergence of ten new cases, slightly fewer than in previous days, indicating that the situation may now be under control. However, there may be further new cases until after next weekend when the incubation period ends, according to regional Health minister, Pablo Aldaz.
Of the 132 people affected, 55 are being treated in various hospitals in Pamplona, five of whom are in intensive care. All are reported to be making good progress, except for two patients, whose condition doctors are monitoring closely .
The source of the infection has been narrowed down to six refrigeration towers in the II Ensanche commercial district near Pamplona's historic centre, which have all been closed down as a precautionary measure.
Bacteria samples have been sent to Majadahonda (Madrid) for analysis, but it may be some time before the results become available.

The number of people affected by an outbreak of Legionnaire's disease in Pamplona has risen to 86, 42 of whom are receiving hospital treatment. According to the regional Health authorities, all are "making good progress," including the 44 people who are being treated at home. Furthermore, the 64 year old woman who was in intensive care on Saturday "is progressing satisfactorily."
The most seriously afflicted are being treated at three hospitals in the regional capital: 24 have been admitted to Navarra Hospital, 14 to the Virgen del Camino Hospital, while the remaining four are being treated at Navarra University Clinic.
Meanwhile, health inspectors continue to focus their investigations on eight refrigeration systems identified during a helicopter search of the II Ensanche commercial district located near to Pamplona's historic city centre.

A total of 61 people have been affected by an outbreak of 'legionella pneumophilla', that was detected yesterday in the II Ensanche commercial district close to Pamplona's historic city centre.
31 have been admitted to hospital, the most seriously ill of whom is a 64 year old woman who is in the intensive care department of the Hospital of Navarra.
According to regional Health minister, María Kutz, the other 30 people in hospital are "making good progress."
Ms Kutz added that of the thirty refrigeration towers inspected yesterday in the II Ensanche district, traces of the Legionnaire's bacteria were found in four while the rest were clear.
