A local man is in a serious condition at Sagunto Hospital after being gored in the back yesterday evening during the annual bullfight festival. It seems that the young man, who was quite drunk by all accounts, slipped as he was trying to get behind a protective barrier and was injured in the back by one of the bulls that were provided yesterday by the Machancoses ranch. A source at the hospital, where the man underwent surgery immediately after being admitted, said that one of the man's kidneys may have been damaged, but his life is not in danger.
