| A 19 month old baby is fighting for her life following surgery after what police have termed an accidental fall from a balcony at a house on the Torviscas Alto residential estate in the town of Adeje yesterday.
The baby's mother, who is originally from Argentina, said that this was not the first time her daughter had tried to climb the balcony railings from which she fell from a height of around 15 metres.
The girl, who suffered a severe head injury, is said to be in a critical condition following surgery at the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Hospital in Santa Cruz. |
