It seems almost certain that a faulty electric blanket was the cause of a blaze in Villalobar de Rioja yesterday evening that cost the lives of an elderly couple.
The fire started at around 8.45pm at a property on the calle Barrio Alto, where the couple, who were both aged 84, were found dead in the main bedrooom.
