| According to reports on the Cadena Ser radio station, ETA have sent out a fresh batch of extortion letters to a number of small business owners in the Basque country.
The tone of the letters, which talk about "national construction", is described as "aggressive," and suggests that the terror organisation has resumed its normal activities now that the ceasefire has been broken.
The quantity demanded (€30,000) is significantly less than the between €180,000-€300,000 stipulated in letters sent out to the owners of some of the region's biggest companies intercepted last month. |
