| A radical group of Galician separatists - the 'Frente a Destruçom Resistenza Xeralizada' - has claimed responsibility for placing a bomb on the O Ceao industrial estate on the outskirts of Lugo yesterday. The device was found inside a plastic bag outside the head offices of the MON construction company that is owned by the former PP mayor of Burela, Manuel Mon.
It was defused by TEDAX bomb squad offficers at 4.20pm and removed for fingerprint analysis.
At this stage, it seems that the device consisted of explosive materials and shrapnel packed inside a pressure cooker with a simple time-activated detonator.
Last week, the radical 'Resistencia Galega' group claimed responsibility for leaving a very similar device on a building site in Pontevedra. |
