The body of 26 year old Encarnación Carmona González, who was reported missing on the 7th July, was found at 8.30am this morning down a well near an abandoned flour mill in Quintana de la Serena (Badajoz), some 500 metres from her parents' weekend residence.

A search involving around a thousand volunteers arranged for later today has been called off.

The Guardia Civil, Red Cross, Civil Protection and volunteers have been involved in the hunt for the missing girl, who was mentally handicapped.
