| Two small explosive devices detonated at 1.20pm this lunchtime along the route for today's 16th stage of the Tour de France, which is taking place on Spanish soil.
Nobody was injured and the two small bombs also failed to disrupt the Tour, which had already passed through.
The bombs went off on the N-1370 (km 51.45) in the Belagua-Belagoa valley in Navarra, less than a kilometre from the Spanish-French border.
According to an Interior ministry spokesman, the bombs had been left on two banks around 50 metres from the road itself, and only a few stones ended up scattered on its surface. |
