| Guardia Civil officers are investigating the possibility that little Madeleine McCann, who disappeared from a tourist apartment in Praia da Luz on Portugal's Algarve coast four months ago, might be being held in Cartagena after two women came forward to report that they had spotted her being bundled into a car earlier this week.
The women report that they saw Madeleine at a petrol station on the main road to Tentegorra on the outskirts of the coastal city at around 7.45pm last Tuesday.
They say she was with a man who, when he realised that he was being observed, "forcibly bundled" her into the back of a Citroen ZX before speeding off. |
