| A plot of land that was set aside to build two massive tower-block hotels will be reclassified as common land, the Generalitat confirms.
A plot of nearly 3,000 square metres on Benidorm seafront was earmarked for the construction of 22-storey hotels.
However, the ministry for the environment has announced that it intends to expropriate the land for the public to use.
The plot belongs to building firm Ballester, one of the Costa Blanca’s main promoters.
Crooner Julio Iglesias was a director of Ballester until a few months ago. |
