| It has been confirmed that The Police will perform on the first day of the 3rd Bilbao BBK Live festival in Kobetamendi on Friday, 4th July 2008.
Tickets will go on sale at 2pm today and can be obtained from multi-service BBK cashpoint machines, BBK branches in Alicante, Ciudad Real, Logroño, Madrid, Málaga, Pamplona, Sevilla, Valencia, and Zaragoza, on-line at www.bbk.es or by phoning 944 310 310.
They can also be bought in Barcelona (Discos Revolver), Burgos (Tipo), San Sebastián (Frudisk), Gijón (Librería Paradisso), Oviedo (Turly Discos), Santiago de Compostela (Discos Gong) or in Vigo (Discos Elepé).
The price for a three-day pass will be €130 euros or €72 per day. 55,000 tickets for the band's only Spanish date of their recent highly successful European tour- in Barcelona on the 27th September - sold out in less than eight hours.

The Police delighted 55,000 fans at a packed Montjuic stadium last night on their only Spanish date of their 30th anniversary world tour.
The legendary mid-Atlantic band performed most of their most memorable hits during the nearly two-hour set, which opened with 'Message in a Bottle', closed with 'Next to You' and also included classics such as: 'Voices inside my head', 'De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da', 'Can't Stand Losing You', 'Synchronicity II', 'Walking on the Moon', 'Don't Stand so Close to Me', 'Driven to Tears', 'Hole in my Life', 'Truth Hits Everybody', 'Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic', 'Wrapped Around Your Finger', 'Roxanne', 'King of Pain', 'So Lonely', and 'Every Breath you Take'.
During their turbulent seven years together (1977-1984), the band (Sting on bass and vocals, Stewart Copeland on drums and Andy Summers on guitar) released five chart-topping albums and won six Grammy awards. |
