| If their proposals are approved by the Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT), Telefónica will start offering a 10 megabite ADSL internet service to some of their domestic customers from the start of November.
The new service will be available as part of a Duo phone and internet package for €44.90 euros a month or as part of a Trio phone, internet and cable TV package for €48.90 a month.
Initially, the new service will only be made available to Telefónica customers living in Madrid and Barcelona, although a company spokesman indicated that around 54% of the network is already equipped to offer the upgrade, and it is hoped that this will have risen to 80% by 2010. |
