| Murcia council has announced that four new city centre lavatories for the exclusive use of taxi and bus drivers will be designed by the celebrated British architect, Norman Foster, who unveiled exciting plans for the re-design of the Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona recently.
The new toilets will be located in the Plaza Camachos, Cruz Roja, the Levante roundabout next to the Tres Copas gardens and at the junction of the calles San Antón and Pintor Joaquín.
A council spokesman explained that the new facilities will be made of stainless steel, concrete and aluminium and accessible using a swipe-card system.
There are only 15 public toilets in the whole of Murcia city centre, although 3,000 extra are installed during fiestas. |
