| Local Police officers in Logroņo have arrested a man who stole a Guardia Civil Traffic patrol car that had come to his aid following an accident, then had a second accident before fleeing on foot.
The incident started at 10pm last night when a Guardia Civil patrol stopped at the scene of a car accident. The man insisted that he had not been the driver, and while the officers' backs were turned, jumped into their car and drove off.
Shortly afterwards, the vehicle was involved in a collision with a second car in the city's El Arco district close to one of the town's main exits.
The driver ran off, but was arrested by several Local Police officers at around 10.25pm. |
