| According to a report on the BBC website, Arsenal stopper, Manuel Almunia, is pondering throwing his hat in the ring to be England's new number one.
The 30 year old from Navarra is reported to have said that Spanish selectors "have never ever phoned me, and if others do so, I'll have to assess the situation and take the decision that suits me best. I'm not ruling anything out."
Almunia has been playing in the Premiership now for four years since joining Arsenal from Celta Vigo in 2004, has never represented Spain and becomes eligible to apply for British citizenship in 2008. |
