According to the Sociedad de Tasación (property valuers' society), the price of new property in Spain's provincial capitals rose, on average, by 5.1% during 2007 to €2,905 euros per square metre.
Prices rose by between 7-9% in twelve provincial capitals, by between 5-7% in twenty others and by less than 5% in sixteen others.
Prices dropped - by less than 3% - in only two capitals: Vitoria and Segovia.
