The body of 84 year old Fidel Cifuentes, who disappeared from his home in Cuenca's Tiradores district last Wednesday, was found yesterday by a construction worker at the Ars Natura nature centre that is due to open at the end of this year, or early 2009.

While most reports indicate that Fidel went missing after leaving home to cash in a winning lottery ticket, the latest report from the EFE news agency suggests that he was actually on his way to buy a lottery ticket.

However, it does seem clear that Fidel fell to his death from the fourth floor of a partially completed office building at the new complex.

Last weekend, divers were called in to search wells and a stretch of the River Júcar after a blue jersey thought to have belonged to the missing man, was found in the Fuente del Oro district on the other side of town.
