| Thick fog in and around Valencia this morning has caused nine flights to be cancelled and thirteen others to be diverted.
The disruption occurred between 5-11am after which normal service was resumed, albeit with some delays.
With visibility down below the 400 metres minimum, all landings were cancelled with 13 flights diverted to alternative destinations - two to Barcelona, and eleven to Alicante.
Six departures - to Malpensa, Ibiza, Madrid, Bilbao and Palma (2) - as well as three inbound flights - from Bilbao, Ibiza and Palma - were cancelled.
Furthermore, port authorities were forced to prevent ships from leaving or entering Valencia harbour for thirty minutes between 8.18-8.48am for the same reason. |
