| A 22 year old Moroccan man has been arrested for stabbing his wife in the leg with a large knife used for slicing jamón serrano at the home they shared with a number of other immigrants in Murcia's Carmen district. The incident occurred at around midnight last night.
The victim, who is 21 years old and four months pregnant, suffered a number of facial bruises as well as a stab wound to her right thigh, but survived the attack and is recovering at Murcia's Reina Sofía Hospital. Her unborn baby was not harmed.
One officer was slightly injured, however, during the struggle that ensued when her attacker tried to resist arrest. |
