| Three people, including a 3 year old girl, were killed and four others were injured in a traffic accident in Madrid city centre last Sunday.
The driver of a white Citroen Berlingo van, in which two Ecuadorian families were travelling, lost control of the vehicle which left the Avenida de Andalucía and careered down a steep slope before overturning and finally coming to rest upside down on the calle Sahara below.
Apart from the young girl, the other two fatal victims have been confirmed as the driver - a 45 year old man - and his 19 year old daughter.
A young baby was rushed to the 12 de Octubre Hospital with minor head injuries while a 45 year old woman with serious head and abdominal injuries as well as two men in their forties, who sustained minor cuts and bruises, are all being treated at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital.
Finally, a 17 year old youth, who lost his father and sister in the smash, escaped uninjured. |
