| In their 9th March general election manifesto, the United Left (IU) party led by Gaspar Llamazares is promising to reduce the working week to 35 hours, and to raise the minimum wage to €1,100 euros, or 60% of the national average.
They also propose to phase out temporary contracts, re-establishing full-time, permanent contracts as the norm, to bolster accident prevention legislation as well as increased grants to help employers prevent workplace accidents. |
