| Santander police have charged a driving school pupil who tested positive for alcohol after an accident involving two other vehicles in the Plaza de Italia in El Sardinero district during a lesson last Wednesday afternoon.
Nobody was injured in the accident and only minor material damage was caused.
The learner driver, a 50 year old man, can continue with his lessons, but faces a €600 euro fine, and will lose four points off his licence - which could be suspended for a month - when and if he eventually passes his test.
Notwithstanding, it seems that the learner was not responsible for the accident as the driving school car was hit from behind by a second vehicle that, in turn, had been shunted forward after being hit from behind by the third. |
