|  A second consignment of materials to help Ecuadorian flood victims will leave Spain next Wednesday.
A first plane carrying 8.5 tonnes of diverse material, including a mobile water sterilisation unit and emergency shelters, arrived in Guayaquil last Saturday from Spain's Latin American Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Panama.
The second plane, which will transport mainly medical and sanitary supplies, will depart from the military air base in Torrejón de Ardoz.
The operation is being coordinated by the Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECI) in collaboration with the Spanish embassy in Ecuador and the Health ministry. |
