| A 39 year old man with a history of psychological problems who was arrested in Cantabria last weekend accused of stabbing his father to death and attempting to murder his sister, was jailed for five years in 1999 after confessing to kill his mother two years previously - on November 3rd, 1997.
It emerged during the trial that the man murdered his mother because he was angry that she had put his mobile phone up for sale.
Following his release from jail, his family successfully applied for a court distancing order against the man, whose identity has been confirmed as José Alberto PH.
His sister only managed to escape the same fate as her parents by jumping out of a window of the first-floor family home in the village of Maliaño (near Camargo) where the attack took place at around 11pm last Saturday night. |
