Police in Asturias have arrested the man they suspect of the murder of 22 year old Patricia Fernández Guzmán whose incinerated corpse was found on an illegal rubbish tip near the village of Ciaño (Langreo) last Friday.

The arrested man, whose identity has been withheld, is known to be an ex-boyfriend of the victim and is in his thirties.

Patricia worked at a local hair salon and lived with her parents, who reported her disappearance last Wednesday, and brother.

The autopsy revealed that the victim had been stabbed several times and was almost certainly dead before her body was set fire to.
