Ola Brunkert (61) was found dead at his Mallorca home last Sunday by a neighbour. The former drummer with the Swedish super-group ABBA was found in his garden lying in a pool of blood with cuts to his neck and seems to have died a few days before his body was discovered.

Brunkert, who lived alone following the recent death of his wife, is believed to have died accidentally after apparently falling through a window.

Benny Andersson has described the news as "tragic. I remember him as a good friend when we worked together in the mid 1970s."
