National Police officers have managed to recover €24,000 euros stolen just hours earlier during a raid on a branch of the Banco Santander in Telde (Gran Canaria), which happened at around 2pm last Wednesday afternoon.

The cash was recovered from two of the bank robbers, who were holed up in a flat in the Marpequeña district (photo), the address of which was facilitated by a third man, believed to have been the get-away driver, who was collared very soon after the robbery.

The identities of the three men have not been confirmed, but it is thought that they are from the mainland.
