| The cinema, theatre and TV actress, Conxita Bardem, died earlier today in Barcelona, aged 90.
A member of the Bardem family acting dynasty, Conxita was a founding member of the Cataluña Association of Professional Actors and Directors (AADPC) and first cousin to Javier's mother, Pilar.
Her last performance was alongside Carme Molina and Jordi Bosch in Anna Lizarán's production of 'Arsenic and Old Lace' at the Teatro Lliure, which was also shown on TV.
Among the many films she appeared in, 'El Pianista' (1998), 'La fiebre del oro cine' (1993) and 'Un genio en apuros' (1983), stand out. |
