A burst water pipe below the calle Gerardo Diego in Santander has left some 20,000 local residents without water.

With sufficient water reserves for just three hours, if the situation is not resolved soon, the city's entire population of around 190,000 could also find themselves cut off.

The two districts currently affected by the problem are General Dávila and Cuatro Caminos.
