| 350 pupils at the Julio Coloma Junior School in Sevilla were unable to attend classes this morning owing to an extensive blood trail that led to the prostrate body of a burglar who appears to have cut himself during a break-in last night.
The injured burglar, who admitted to being a drug addict and who initially gave police a false identity, appears to have been assisted by at least one accomplice as the only item of valuable stolen - an electronic keyboard worth several thousand euros - has not been found.
It seems that the man injured himself when he put his foot through a glass door leading to a room where nothing of value was stored.
The burglars appear to have gained access to the school by clambering over a metal door that opens out onto the street, and through the window of a classroom for four year olds. |
