|  Francisco Hernando del Saz Jr, son of the notorious property tycoon of the same name better known by his nickname 'El Pocero' (photo) - managed to fight off two men armed with a pistol in a failed kidnap attempt that occurred on the outskirts of Seseña (Toledo) yesterday lunchtime.
Mr Del Saz was hit over the head with the butt of the gun during the attack, but was able to provide a full account of the incident including detailed descriptions of his two assailants.
It seems that the two men intercepted their target on the Cemetery Roundabout at around 2.25pm.
One of the two kidnappers' cars - a BMW - was driven in front of Mr Del Saz's to block his path, but the attackers were unable to remove the target from his car, and after a brief, violent struggle, the two men fled in one of the two cars they had arrived in, leaving the other behind.
Mr Del Saz works closely with his father, and is responsible for the sale of the 13,500 new homes recently constructed on a controversial residential complex on the outskirts of the town. |
