| Celia Hernanz (22) did not have to pay for her copy of Madonna's new album 'Hard Candy' as a reward for being first in line after queuing up for nearly eight hours outside Fnac Madrid, where it went on sale at midnight last night.
She and around 400 other fans who bought the album last night were also given free promotional merchandise such as stickers and badges and their names have been entered into a free draw for tickets to a private concert by the veteran pop diva in Paris on May 6th.
Around 2,000 invited guests will watch Madonna perform six songs, including 'Four minutes', which is a duet with Justin Timberlake, and 'Give it 2 me'.
The winner of the Madrid draw will be accompanied by the winners of similar promotions conducted at the French chain's Sevilla, Valencia and Bilbao stores and Discos Castelló in Barcelona.
Although organisers had announced a Madonna look-alike competition to coincide with last night's launch, the fans in the queue outside the store in Madrid, at least, were apparently either unaware, or had simply failed to make the effort. |
