Cristo Roberto Quesada Avero, who tried to push his wife off a cliff in Guía (Gran Canaria) in 2004 has had his jail sentence reduced from six to five years by the Supreme Tribunal after an appeal against the original ruling by Las Palmas Provincial Court.
Notwithstanding, Avero will still have to pay his victim €27,000 euros in compensation for the physical injuries and psychological harm he caused her.
