| A 34 year old woman has been arrested accused of murdering her 82 year old grandmother at their second-floor apartment home on the Las Huertas residential estate in Majadahonda (Madrid).
The victim, who had been stabbed several times in the neck and chest, was found - still alive but very weak - shortly before 8am yesterday morning, by Local Police and Guardia Civil officers called to the scene by neighbours concerned about a noisy, violent struggle at number 9, calle de las Huertas, where the victim lived with the arrested woman and one of her grandsons.
One shocked local resident told reporters that the victim and her presumed killer had always been very "affectionate" with one another and seemed to get on "stupendously."
Another said that the arrested woman, who was the child of one the victim's step-daughters, "was a stable character, well-educated and fluent in several languages."
A third told how the victim had given him painting lessons. |
