A woman, whose personal details have not been made public, died in Huelva yesterday evening just days after surgery to remove a tumour on her neck.

She collapsed on the Avenida Menéndez Pidal, near the Paseo de los Naranjos roundabout, at around 6.40pm, haemorrhaging blood after her stitches apparently burst.

Emergency medics battled to save her, but she died at the scene without ever regaining consciousness.
