| A one-month trial to offer free wi-fi access to the nearly 48,000 travellers a day who use the 15km tramway network linking Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna, will begin tomorrow and last a month.
The scheme is a joint project involving the Canary Islands Research, Society and Innovation Agency and Vodafone.
Four trams will be fitted with 3G broadband wi-fi routers initially, and it is planned to convert the rest of the fleet if the trial proves popular with the customers. |
