According to reports in today's Marca and As sports dailies, Real Madrid are set to confirm the signing of Argentinian defender, Ezequiel Garay, for around ten million euros. The 21 year old had seemed to be on the verge of signing for Barcelona a couple of months ago, but the deal fell through on price.

The champions are also apparently interested in another young Argentinian defender, Martin Caceres, who is currently under contract with Recreativo Huelva.

The Marca report goes on to speculate that either the veteran Italian Fabio Cannavaro or Germany's Christoph Metzelder, who missed most of the season with a foot injury, may be released this summer to make way for the new signings.
