| A 69 year old British tourist died yesterday afternoon while bathing off Santo Tomás beach on Menorca.
Emergency medics were called in at around 3.10pm after the man had been rescued unconscious from the sea, but they were unable to revive him.
An autopsy will confirm cause of death though it is believed that the victim, who had a pre-existing coronary condition, suffered a heart attack.
The man, whose initials have been confirmed as JCD, had been spending a few days' holiday with his family at a chalet on the nearby Santo Tomás residential estate in Migjorn Gran. |
