| A slot machine company employee - who left a suitcase containing nearly thirteen thousand euros on the bonnet of his car as he went to collect the takings from several bars and restaurants near the calle Alcázar in Santander where he had parked - was hugely relieved last Monday afternoon, when Local Police officers returned the cash having tracked him down from documentation found inside the suitcase.
His job was saved by an honest passer-by, who spotted the suitcase and reported it to a nearby traffic officer, who, in turn, passed it on to the Local Police force after discovering the cash inside.
However, the cash was returned only after the man had given an accurate description of the suitcase, and explained exactly where he had left it. |
