|  The two fatal victims of a light airplane smash near Lillo (Toledo) yesterday were the pilot and one of a team of ten parachutists.
The other nine - of various nationalities - managed to jump to safety before the plane crashed. The two most seriously injured were taken to the Virgen de la Salud Hospital in Toledo. Four others, who were less seriously injured, were taken to La Mancha Centro Hospital. The other three escaped uninjured.
The Spanish pilot and the Brazilian parachutist that died were part of an innovative acrobatic jump team that specialises in making TV commercials for companies such as Honda. A company spokesman has admitted that the team was about to make its seventh jump of the day. |
