| Coast guards have found the six-man crew of a Galician fishing vessel that sank around 240 miles to the southeast of El Hierro in the Canary Islands.
They were rescued shortly after 3pm and arrived back on dry land around three hours later.
They were found on board two inflatable dinghies equipped with an emergency position-indicating radio beacon, a short-wave radio and distress flares, and airlifted by helicopter to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Their ship, the 'Tuly', was launched in July 1998 and registered in A Guarda (Pontevedra). |
