|  A massive firework display at 10pm this evening will mark the end of the final visit to Santa Cruz de Tenerife of the 'Queen Elizabeth II', which has been sold by it current owner, the Cunard Line, to the state-owned Dubai World company that plans to convert it into a luxury hotel.
The cruise liner, which first visited the island on April 5th, 1969, will be handed over to its new owners in November, and, will become part of the Palm Jumeirah complex - the biggest artificial island in the world. |
