|  Marc Gasol has announced his interest in playing in the NBA next season, possibly with the Memphis Grizzlies, who acquired his rights as part of the deal that saw his older brother, Pau, move to the LA Lakers last season.
The Grizzlies has also been home to Juan Carlos Navarro this season, but he recently announced his return to FC Barcelona.
Last season, Marc was named Best Player in the ACB and has enjoyed two successful years with Akasvayu Girona.
At a press conference in a Girona hotel earlier today, the 23 year old Spain centre told journalists: "Now I've got a good opportunity and I'll give it a try. I'm excited about it. In the United States basketball is different, it gets played differently. The best centres are there, there's another rhythm of play and another rhythm of life." |
