|  Lucio Blázquez, the owner of the popular 'Casa Lucio' restaurant in Madrid, is recovering in the intensive care department of Alicante's Sant Joan Hospital after suffering a heart attack while bathing on San Juan beach yesterday afternoon.
Mr Blázquez was pulled from the sea at around 3pm by a lifeguard, who successfully performed cardiorespiratory resuscitation until the arrival of paramedics, who stabilised the patient's condition before transferring him to hospital.
Mr Blázquez's wife was treated at the scene for shock.
