Owing to numerous failed attempts, it took Guardia Civil environmental officers more than three hours to ensnare a two-metre long iguana spotted wandering through the centre of Zaratán (Valladolid) on June 25th.

They are now looking for the owner of the animal, which had obviously been well cared for.

It is being kept at the regional bird recovery centre.
