| Carmina Unamuno (77) died yesterday in a road traffic accident in Montejo (Salamanca) in which her husband, the newspaper columnist Luis Sánchez (85), was also killed.
The grand-daughter of the writer and philosopher, Miguel Unamuno (1864-1936), was killed when the Rover 220 Gsi she and her husband were travelling in was first involved in a side-on collision with a Citroen C-15 van, then a head-on impact with a Peugeot.
While the occupants of the van escaped uninjured, a married couple in their fifties travelling in the second saloon vehicle were badly hurt and required hospitalisation. |
