| José Martínez Olmos from the Health ministry (photo) confirmed yesterday that five batches of 'Sanutri' baby milk will be removed from the shelves after they were found to be contaminated with salmonella.
In total, 29 babies - 23 less than a year old - suffered gastoentiritis as a result of being fed the contaminated milk between February and July.
It seems that batches of the 'Confort' and 'Natur' varieties were those affected, and customers are warned not to use any existing supplies they may have at home.
The 'Sanutri' brand is distributed across Spain and there have been confirmed cases in Castilla León (9), the Valencian Community (4), Andalucía (4), Madrid (4), Cataluña (3), Galicia (3), Castilla La Mancha (1) and Murcia (1).
