| Valencia FC doctor, Antonio Giner, has confirmed that it is likely to take David Silva around three months to recover from surgery on his injured left ankle next Tuesday. The operation will be performed by Barcelona surgeon, Dr Ramón Cugat.
It seems that, following an exploratory scan today, the decision was taken at a meeting attended by the player, Valencia coach Unai Emery and the club's sporting director, Fernando Gómez.
After the operation, the player will remain in Barcelona until next Thursday, and will have to spend the first three weeks with the joint completely immobilised. |
